This hotel has been around for a long time. I grew up close by and recently had to stay while visiting family. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m putting it at the top of my list for any return trips. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean. The room was extremely comfortable. Very pleased.

Lovely hotel. Clean, quiet, and affordable. The rooms are definitely in need of a revamp (particularly the rugs and furniture) and the tv in our room didn’t work (incredibly old box tv) but everything else is fantastic. The beds are super comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. Our room overlooked the beautiful common area. Very pleased with our stay here and would absolutely stay here again!

The management was exceptionally courteous, and the front desk staff were consistently helpful and welcoming. We had great rooms with connecting doors – perfect for families. The interior design was tasteful, with calming colors and a cozy, well-thought-out layout. Would absolutely stay here again. Update March 2026: When I returned to the Ethan Allen this year, my booking could not be found, even though I had reserved and paid through Booking.com. After some discussion, the service staff kindly called Booking.com to investigate, but unfortunately without success. Meanwhile, I filed a complaint with Booking.com, and a refund is on the way. On site, I had to make a new reservation and pay again. The staff member assisting me was extremely friendly and helpful and even offered a very good rate. I requested a room like the one I had the previous year and was given the one right next to it—what a homecoming! I feel very comfortable here; the atmosphere is excellent, the interior tasteful, and the location perfect. Next time, I will book directly through the hotel’s website.

Kyle at the front desk was accommodating and kind. I arrived late after a business trip and they made me feel like I was being welcomed home. Clean, comfortable and not noisy at night.

I'm a firm believer in the "honest and fair" philosophy of establishment reviews. No one bad experience can speak whole cloth to a business outside it's context. That said, phenomenal service and caring staff are the touchstone of something special. We booked in here at the last minute and when we arrived, the system was still processing our reservation but that didn't stop Shamida (God I hope I'm spelling your name right, hun) was thoughtful and kind in helping up get checked in. Additionally, she was nice enough to give us an upgrade after hearing our plight about an experience at the nearby competitor. The hotel was very nice and felt to be a shade of "liveable luxury". We usually stay at chains but the amenities, nearby sights, and UNBELIEVABLY WONDERFUL STAFF (Honestly, Ive never met someone who made me laugh and made me feel welcome the way Shamida did) someplace like this is one of a kind. TLDR; Skip the chains, spend a few more dollars more, and experience something that makes sleeping in a strange bed a little less uncanny

We stay here for a couple of days, it's perfect place for staying. The personal is a little serious. Wishing it have an American breakfast for the clients, the only have tea, coffee. The cleaning is perfect, it's every day. The pool is small, but for a 10min relaxing is great. There's a laundry stop 4 min walking

I recently stayed one night at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. What immediately stood out was the unique connection to the Ethan Allen brand. It was fascinating to see Ethan Allen furniture showcased throughout the lobby, common areas, and guest rooms. As someone familiar with the brand, it added a distinctive touch that you don't find in most hotels. My room was beautifully furnished, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The furniture and décor created an upscale yet welcoming atmosphere that felt more like a well-appointed home than a typical hotel room. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and everything was well maintained. The spacious work desk was also a nice feature for anyone traveling on business. The hotel highlights custom Ethan Allen furnishings and comfortable accommodations throughout its rooms, which was evident during my stay. One thing I especially appreciated was how quiet the room was. Despite being at a hotel, I experienced a peaceful night's sleep without the usual hallway or outside noise that can sometimes be an issue when traveling. Overall, the Ethan Allen Hotel offers a unique experience, combining comfort, quality furnishings, and a relaxing atmosphere. I would gladly stay here again when visiting the Danbury area.
